LMT Support Group begins Jan 5, NW Tucson

Is being a therapist/healer more challenging than you thought it would be? This group is NOT about how to avoid or sidestep challenges, but how to embrace them, to "make them better for having happened." Once you are on the other side of a challenge, you see that it was a gift. Of course, that's not so easy to see on the front side.

By working with others in service and healing, certain issues will very likely arise for you. This is the place to share with others who have had, or will have, similar issues. You may be able to help them or they may be able to help you. It's always good to talk.

Are there are certain people you work with--employers, other therapists, or recipients--who sort of drive you crazy?
Do you get unwanted "vibes" from some people?
Do you ever wonder why similar "lessons" keep happening to you? Would you like to finish those lessons and move on?
Do you feel you are "heard?"
Would you like to share your "stories of challenge" and "stories of healing" with others?
Would you like to teach or mentor other therapists/healers?
Have you "grown out of" your current work situation but you don't know how/where to go next?
Do others treat you as equal?
Are you receiving compensation equal to what you are giving in service?
Would you like it if everyone would treat each other more equally?

This is a light hearted, good humored, non-judgmental "peer supervision" group. "Supervison" does not mean that someone is the authority supervising you, but that you arrive willing to both offer support to those who you may assist, and receive support from those who may assist you. Support does NOT mean advice. People need to tell their stories and be heard, without being fixed. If they want suggestions, they will ask! If you habitually give advice without being asked for it, you will receive support in changing that pattern :) We maintain confidentiality within the group both by withholding names and indentifying information of the people in our personal stories, and by not sharing what others in the group share with us.
